Title Attribute In Images

The ALT attribute of an image file is used to help show more information about the image file when images are turned off in the browser, when a mouse is held over the image, and for users who use screenreaders. It is a good place to put a description for the image with keywords also.

IE will shows the ALT information, but Firefox 1.5 and other browsers will not always show that information when the mouse is held over the image.

To fix the problem, you can add a title element to the image file.

<img src="/images/spacer.gif" width="90" height="1" alt="Keywords" title="more keywords" />

This way, you can add more keywords for search engines, just as you would with the ALT element and at the same time, it works like it would if the browser supported the ALT attribute.
