Scoring
After the website has passed the Mandatory Criteria and the Basic Criteria is present, the scoring of the website is based upon the Advanced Criteria.
At It's Changing, we feel that every basic website should have the Mandatory and the Basic Criteria in it to begin with. Beyond that, it is the fine tuning, or the extras that make a website stand out from others.
Small details such as a sitemap, a Title element in a link, unique keywords, description and meta tags - are the small details that enhance accessibility, search engine friendliness, and help websites have the little "extra touch" that show the designers have gone "above and beyond" to make the website "stand out". That is the reason our Awards are based on the Advanced Criteria.
When our Evaluator(s) review a website, they will be using a scoresheet very similar to the Self Test.
