• Q. What is the difference between marketing and advertising?
  A. Marketing is the whole process of planning out different ways to get your business name out there. Marketing includes research, planning, public relations, testing, distribution, pricing, support, sales, branding, positioning, press releases, advertising, and other areas.
  
  A good example is researching the market for age groups (target audience), and creating an advertisement that will gain attention. Advertising is the process of placing the "ad" for the viewers.
